Our Volunteer Programs
All volunteers are required to be 18 years of age or older.
Art Mentor Program Volunteer
Time Commitment:
1 - 1.5 Hours Weekly for the 8-10 Week Program for Which You Sign Up
~4 Hours for the End of Program Art Gallery
Never on Holidays
In the event you can’t make a session due to work, illness, etc., we pair you with 1-2 other volunteer mentors, so that you can cover each other in situations like these. We also have substitute mentor volunteers available.
Requirements
Background Check ($30)
New Volunteer Orientation (3 hours)
Mentor Development Training (6 hours)
Quarterly Dinners with Other Art Mentors - Make Friends + Learn from Each other!
Our 8-10 week art program is lead by a team of 2-3 volunteers designated a particular partner location site. These art mentor volunteers show up each week to lead a 1-hour process-based art session with 10-15 children, ranging from 5-13 years of age. Typically, you end up arriving 15 min early to set up and leaving 15 min after to clean up. We provide you the curriculum and supplies for all the activities during the program. Mentors are not paid, however we do cover any additional expenses.
You will have fun, make art, give support, meet new people, build enduring friendships, have the best weeks… every week. What more could you ask for?!
