Ever since I was a child, the depths of the ocean fascinated me. As I looked at a LIFE library book about the sea, I was transported to a new world. Today, many, many years later, I still find I have a strong connection to oceans. Maybe I was a mermaid in a past life! Recently, I got an octopus tattoo because I have learned so much about them and what they symbolize: a reminder of one’s own strength, adaptability, and the importance of embracing unique qualities.
