A Look At: City of Inglewood Summer Camp 2023

This Summer 2023, Give Kids Art partnered with the City of Inglewood in Southern California to deliver our Give Kids Art programming and art supplies to kids participating in their summer camp program. This was the second year that we have worked with the City of Inglewood’s summer camp. Through their support, we were able to train their staff to facilitate our programming at their Rogers Park location, which allowed us to reach 80 children, each of whom experienced two weeks of daily art activities through our curriculum.

Below are photos from their GKA programming, showing different groups throughout the summer. At Give Kids Art, we pride ourselves on supporting social-emotional development through the arts, through every one of our art activities. Our process-based activities and prompts allow for our artists to express themselves and explore their inner creativity!

Our Give Kids Art (GKA) partnership curriculum program includes:

  • GKA training for Partner staff members or volunteers via Zoom or in-person

  • GKA training documents for designated Partner program facilitators

  • GKA season-specific, 8 to 10 session curriculum for all age ranges, provided with age-related adjustments and tips!

    • Includes a 30+ page written version of our curriculum, with verbatim instructions for each art activity

    • Includes a deck of slides for each art activity session in our curriculum, which can be used by and/or projected in the art room by Partner program facilitators

  • GKA sourced art supplies delivered to Partner organization, to be used for Give Kids Art program curriculum

Thank you to the staff at the City of Inglewood for helping to deliver our programming to more kids! We appreciate you!

Please contact us if you are interested in bringing our Give Kids Art curriculum to support kids in need in your community.

Our campers have enjoyed each moment that they were able to spend completing your planned activities as they learned new things or found a liking to something they were previously not interested in. We would not have been able to provide an amazing summer program without your continued support of our campers!
